Thinking about creating your own slide show?
You most definitely CAN create your own slide show...No need to pay us for this service! This statement may surprise you but the reality is you can create your own show and save money.
There are a few things I really do need to point out as it relates to creating your own shows, just so you do not waste your time and money and then realize maybe this is not your cup of tea. If you have a special occasion coming up, you need to start planning now for creating a slide show.
1. You can create FREE shows by using your Windows Movie Maker software that is likely installed in your windows based computer. Just click on your start button and under the all programs tab you will find the movie maker under your accessories tab.
However if you want something that allows you to customize your slide show with special transitions, motion and layering then you will need to purchase a slide show software program. If you like what you see in our portfolio then the software you need is $295.00 by www.photodex.com. This program allows you to do just about anything you want with photos to make an awesome looking show.
If you want to learn some of the more custom aspects of slide show creations with this software, for $49.00 each you can purchase their DVD training videos on layering, motion and masking techniques that will make your shows pop! I have taken these courses and they are worth the money to learn all you can about creating custom, exciting shows.
2. You have to be technically savvy to some degree so that you can work your way through all the steps required to put the shows together. If you can work your way around a new computer software program, you can certainly learn how to create shows. You just need time to learn.
3. You will need an audio editor software program which you can download for free off the internet, like Audacity so that you can edit the music that will go with the photos in your slide. Since you want to coordinate or "marry" the music to the photos you will need to cut and edit the music to fit the photos. Many times you will use more than one song with your shows, so you will need to trim them down, enhance the sound, use fade in and out techniques so that the music flows without hesitation between the songs.
4. You will also need a photo editor program like photo shop to edit the photos and make them look their best before placing them into the slide show.
5. You do need to be a perfectionist of sorts as there are many parts of the slide show that need to be edited and "tweaked" if you will, so that the show looks just right. If you like tedious close up work, slide show creations is perfect work for you!
6. You need to have some creative juices in your personality as you need to decide how to put the shows together, with intros, outros, credits, backgrounds, etc. so that your shows are full of emotion for your viewers.

It will take time to learn the slide show software program you chose, it will take money to purchase the software and the music that you will be using in your show (downloading music off the internet that you do not pay for in most cases is illegal). It will take some creativity to add spice and emotion to your show.
If you have the time, money, creativity and the desire to put together a slide show for your special occassion, then by all means do it yourself and save some money!

Welcome to our Blog Page, where we will discuss all things related to slide shows and why they are fast becoming the new medium for all special and life changing events.
There are many ways you can preserve your memories, first came the tried and true professional photos or photos taken by you and family members and friends. These will be around for a long time as they serve a purpose for many people.
Then came the digital revolution in photography. Now you can have your photos on a CD or memory card and can review them on your computer, in photo frames, on your TV. Digital photography was a significant revolution because you could combine hundreds of photos on one small CD or memory card, rather than having large bulky photo albums filled with all of your memories over the years.
You also have a choice as to which ones you will print off and frame and which ones you will keep in digital format. You can also delete the photos that you do not like simply by reviewing the ones you took in your camera view finder. Digital photography is also here to stay as you have so many choices with this medium.
Videos have been around a long time. Videos are wonderful as you can capture life's events as they happen with people talking, dancing laughing, singing, you name it.
We have the funniest video phenomenon. We love to watch those shows don't we? Videos definitely have their place. Remember the large cumbersome recorders and now we have pocket size video recorders. We have come a long way in technology.
